about camellia pure beauty

It is our mission to convince product junkies that luxurious bath and beauty products don't have to contain junk.
Camellia features everything
for proper pampering: richly scented bath bombs, relaxing bath salts, natural perfumes,
skincare to please every type, balms of every description, spa scrubs, make up (including the fabulously local Alima mineral cosmetics), hair care, artisan soap, refreshing shower gels, fragrant lotions & oils, baby and mothercare,
unscented products, and non fakey smelling candles and room sprays.
Not only do our products smell, feel,
and work great, all meet high standards of "natural" with many organic and predominantly plant-based ingredients. No petroleum
by-products or other potentially harmful chemicals, no sodium lauryl
sulfates, no parabens and no artificial fragrances are allowed.
community and environmental values
Our brands are chosen with
care. Camellia suports many companies that have charitable giving
programs, support organic agriculture, engage in fair trade practices,
and are dedicated to producing cruelty-free and truly all-natural
products with full label disclosure. Many of our difficult to find lines are fresh, hand-made and
artisanal.
• A minimum of 5% of Camellia's
annual profits are donated to nonprofits with projects serving Oregon,
Washington and Northern California.
• Camellia Pure Beauty is powered by 100% renewable energy through Pacific Power's Blue Sky program.
• Camellia Pure Beauty is a member of the Sustainable Business Network of Portland.
Camellia is proud to be a Portland woman-owned independent business.
Additionally, we currently carry products from eight Oregon small
businesses, eleven more from California, and two from Washington,
making about 47% of our suppliers from the west coast. That means less
fuel used for shipping and more support for our regional economy.
• We strive to make the most sustainable choices possible in our daily store operations and re-use shipping materials for sending out online orders. So don't complain about packing peanuts! We are just passing them on.
